180 with Bulls JVT series 4.
Hi guys
I bought these JVT 23g series 4 darts as they are very similar to the old Bulls Co Stompe's.
At first I wasn't keen.... For no apparent reason really, they are a classic shape and weight.
I was using medium Stems and standard flights and they were fishtailing badly in flight and I wasn't getting great results.
I switched out to short aluminium and the effect was pronounced with a. Far better outcome.
Hit 106 in 100 at 20 and this beautiful 180:

Definately a good choice if you like a 51.50mm darts at 6.3 diameter!

Rees the first World champion in 1978 and Anderson the then current World champion!

There's not a wealth of Rees footage and this wss toward the end of his darts career but that class of that throw!...... Beautiful!

Well we are pretty much in a place that I'd enver thought I'd see, with the Covid-19 lockdown!
I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
I'm still at work as a front line worker however I hope those of you who have found yourself in changed circumstances are OK.
On the darts front, I haven't played a great deal. I have been throwing the 23g Fordham's recently but nothing in earnest.
Those 23g Lowe style darts are amazing and if you've never had the opportunity to try a set please do!
Anyway im going to try and unearth some classic Darts on YouTube for your enjoyment.
Stay safe everyone and I'd just like to raise a glass to everyone who continues to follow my blog, everyone who is bunkering down and social distancing and to those who have sadly lost someone at this terrible time.

Just had my greatest practice session in years!

What a session I've just put in!
Literally the best session I've had in years!
In 100 darts at 20 I had:
A maximum of 109 pts
The stats:
600 darts at 20
Hit:
180: 2
140: 2
120: 4
100: 20
80: 37
60: 36
Since going back to my 23g Andy Fordham (Lowe copy) darts it's felt like it's started to come back a little.
If I can score over 115 at 100 x20 (personal best 115) then I'm going to go back to the pub leagues, see how I do and where it goes!

Always wanted a set of these as when i first started for the Seagull in 2014 the Captain played with a set and he did very well.
Interestingly back then when I was playing with 22-24g that was "abit light". I guess in the pub 3 leg format playing with a heavy dart is a good idea (if you go with the heavier corrects itself better in flight theory)
Anyway I hit a 180 with them but they're not for me
